USEFUL INFORMATION ON CAMPUS MUNDI APPLICATION

 

Below you can read some very important information on the CM application procedure. However, please always visit the CM website of Tempus Public Foundation because the actual official documents and requirements can be found there. Please always make sure to use the official CM templates of every document because Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) accepts only them.

 

NOTE: Most of the CM documents and manuals are available only in Hungarian therefore it is highly recommended to ask a Hungarian friend/mate of yours to help you with the application! But we tried to do our best to help you as much as possible, so here you can find a guidance in English to Campus Mundi application written by a former Campus Mundi grantee.

 

I. Where and how to apply?

1) Possessing a submitted and accepted CUB application is a precondition of the Campus Mundi application.
    a) In case of partial studies: Students can apply for partial study mobilities during the main and second call for application launched by the faculties.
    b) In case of internship: From March 2019 Campus Mundi scholarship is available only for internships realies in a non-Erasmus+ country. It's precondition is submitting an internship application at CUB. More information about it please find in point IV. on this website.

2) Applications have to be submitted online following the actual instructions of Tempus Public Foundation. For more information please visit www.campusmundi.hu  (Please note that it is available only in Hungarian.)

 

II. What documents are needed for the application?

1) Application form

     a) You can print it out from the online application system, then you'll have to sign it and upload its scanned version to the system.
     b) The application form must be filled out electronically.

2) Letter of Acceptance - only for internship and freemover partial training mobilities

     a) To be printed on company/institution letterhead.
     b) Must be signed & stamped.
     c) At least 30 working hours / week are required. (internship)
     d) Internship: It must be at least 3-month-long or it must be recognized in your studies at CUB for min. 15 ECTS credits (even if you do a voluntary internship abroad and not an obligatory one that would be embedded in your curriculum)
     e) If the host company/institution didn't use the official CM template the LoA can only be accepted if it includes all the information that the CM template demands!!!

3) Teacher's reference and institutional approval

     a) Teacher's reference: It is not a problem if the teacher who recommends you is not the head of a department/institute but it is imporant that he/she personally knows and teaches/taught you.
     b) Preconditions of the institutional approval:
         1. The institutional approval can issued ony by the institutional CM coordinator!
         2. The student submitted a study abroad/internship application which has been accepted by CUB.
         3. The student filled in the first part of the document (teacher's reference and institutional approval)
         4. The teacher's reference is 100% completed: filled in, signed, stamped, dated, etc. (In case the teacher does not have a stamp, please get is sealed at the cognisant department.)
         5. Please fill in the missing data at the institutional approval beforehand:
             - name of the institutional CM coordinator: please find here
             - institution: Corvinus University of Budapest
             - department: Directorate of International Relations and Innovation
             - The date and the approval will be filled in by the coordinator, those parts please leave incompleted!
         +1. In case of a FREEMOVER MOBILITY there are 2 additional preconditions:
               1. Letter of Acceptance signed and stamped by the host university.
               2. Filled in Learning Agreement signed and stamped by CUB, host university and the student.


       c) Please come to the institutional CM coordinator only with such documents that are already fully completed, signed, stamped and duplicated so the coordinator only has to sign and date its 2 samples.
       d) The institutional approval can be issued only upon the fulfillment of the abovementioned requirements.
       e) The document can be filled out both electronically and with hand. Upon choosing the second option please make sure to have a readable handwriting.

 

4) Motivation letter and study plan

     a) It must be filled in electronically on computer.
     b) It is highly recommended to write a very deliberate and detailed motivation letter because it is the second most important part of the application (the first most important part is your grades). 
     c) After finishing your motivation letter and study plan please save the document in .pdf format and enclose it to your application material.

 5) Confirmation of professional and public voluntary activities

      a) Ask the responsible person of the association/organization who can confirm your recent or former voluntary activity to fill in, sign and stamp the confirmation form (CM template).
      b) For instance the following kinds of activities will be accepted during the evaluation: having a position in a student association, organizing a professional event, holding academic lectures, etc.
      c) The document can be filled out both electronically and with hand. Upon choosing the second option please make sure to have a readable handwriting.

6) Confirmation of prominent study related scientific, artistic or sport activities

      a) Ask the responsible person of the association/organization who can confirm your recent or former voluntary activity to issue a signed and stamped confirmation of your activity. There's no CM template, any kind of verifications can be provided.
      b) You can have only those activities accepted which you are recently doing or which you did still during your studies.
      c) For example the following kinds of activities will be accepted during the evaluation: participation in a national/international academic competition or conferenc, having published a scientific article, etc.
      d) The document can be filled out both electronically and with hand. Upon choosing the second option please make sure to have a readable handwriting.

7) Confirmation of your studies at CUB

      a) Please make sure to use the offiical CM template. If the Student Registration Office provides you the Neptun template or any other document it can only be accepted if it indicates all the information that are required on the CM template.
      b) You must have at least one finished semester while applying in order to have a grade point average by which your CM application score can be calculated.
      c) The document can be filled out both electronically and with hand. Upon choosing the second option please make sure to have a readable handwriting.

8) Confirmation of being entitled to receive supplementary social support

     a) Trainees can only receive social support if they won't get a salary from their employer.
     b) The document can be filled out both electronically and with hand. Upon choosing the second option please make sure to have a readable handwriting.

 

 

III. Until when to apply?

1) The application is continuous but you must submit your application no later than your mobility starts because it is not possible to apply retroactively.

2) Even though the application is continuous, there are project cycles starting on June 1st, 201X and ending on September 30th, 201X+1 (e.g. the project 2017/2018 starts on June 1st, 2017 and ends on September 30th, 2018). Make sure to submit your application to the right project! If your mobility extends from a project to another therefore you don't know which project to apply for, please contact campusmundi(kukac)tpf(pont)hu and discuss how to overbridge the problem.

3) VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: However, Tempus Public Foundation allows continuous application CUB deadlines apply to CUB students. In view of this please never forget to obtain information about CUB regulations and deadlines at our CM website.

 

IV. How will the scores be counted during the evaluation process?

1) You can find the actual criteria among the application documents on the official CM website of Tempus Public Foundation. (Please note that this document is available only in Hungarian!)

 

V. When will the results be announced?

1) The results generally come out about 1-2 months after submitting application.

2) Since the application + evaluation process + contracting (in case of a winning application) + transaction of the scholarship all together can take even 2-4 months it is strongly recommended to start applying at least 3-4 months before the mobility starts.

3) Below you can see the intended dates of the Advisory Board's sessions at Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) in 2019. The results are usually published 1-2 days after the actual session. Please note that the Campus Mundi coordinators at CUB have to evaluate the applications first, which are forwarded to TPF only after that. It means that the results might not come out right after the very next Advisory Board's session but only after the following one.

     - Intended dates of the Advisory Board's sessions at Tempus Public Foundation in 2019: 17.01., 21.02., 21.03., 18.04., 09.05., 23.05., 20.06., 11.07., 29.08., 26.09., 24.10., 21.11., 12.12.
